Yesterday morning, we had the opportunity to take part in a little history.
As we’ve written about in the past, Main Street USA inside Disneyland Park is home to not only shops and the Dapper Dans, but legends. A majority of the windows that you see on the buildings have inscriptions that tell of these legends who will forever be remembered for contributing their unique talents to make The Walt Disney Company the magical company that it is today.
Harrison “Buzz” Price was never a Disney employee, but as an economist, he partnered with Walt Disney find the place for Disneyland, Walt Disney World and other company’s theme parks that would follow.
Yesterday, he received the highest honor a Disney Cast Member can receive – a personalized window on the most popular street in the world.
Take a look at the video above to see highlights from the dedication ceremony yesterday and to hear more about the man who, although sadly passed away in 2010, was a pioneer in the industry that ultimately showed us the places where now our dreams come true.
